Architecture vs engineering

While both require a solid grasp of the technology, there is a functional difference between architecture and engineering.

Engineering asks how do I deploy my tools to satisfy the business requirements.

Architecture asks what does the business need to accomplish and what tools can we ensure the engineers have to meet that.
